- BISM25: Versatile Braille printer that can print raised graphics on any type of paper and can be fully operated by a blind user.
Sponsor – Blind Industries & Services of Maryland - FUTURE25: Assisting local manufacturer Future Makers with their production of engineering kits for K-12 schools. The sponsor is currently implementing the team’s design.
Sponsor – Future Makers - TIGON25: A more reliable suture passer for rotator cuff surgery. The design has a needle that can bend when inserted and contains a trapdoor which leaves the suture cleanly behind inside the patient.
Sponsor – Tigon Medical - INJ25: Therapeutic agent injector with a new injection device for gastroenterological procedures. The design is collapsible and can perform five simultaneous injections as opposed to one.
Sponsor – Dr. Florin Selaru (JHU SOM) - SURGSIM25: Enhances surgical simulation using “phantoms” that include realistic bleeding, repairable skin, are reusable up to 20 times, and cost under $10k per unit.
