Thao (Vicky) Nguyen, professor of mechanical engineering and the Marlin U. Zimmerman, Jr. Faculty Scholar, has been awarded the The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) 2024 Van C. Mow Medal. The award, given to one engineer per year, totals $1,750. Nguyen is known for her research on the mechanics of soft engineering and biological materials.
