Every year, the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association, the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, and the Whiting School of Engineering honor faculty members and students who excel in teaching, advising, and mentoring. This year, two members of the Department of Mechanical Engineering were named winners.
Louis Whitcomb, professor of mechanical engineering and director of the Dynamical Systems and Control Laboratory, won the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association Excellence in Teaching Award.
Yu Yang, a graduate student in the Locomotion in Mechanical and Biological Systems (LIMBS) laboratory, won the Whiting School of Engineering Teaching Assistant Award.
