Sharun Kuhar, PhD student in mechanical engineering and member of the Rajat Mittal lab, was invited to The White House on Jan. 31 for a gathering of the inaugural Quad Fellowship scholars. Kuhar met Principal Deputy National Security Advisor Jon Finer along with other senior administration officials and representatives from the Indian, Japanese, and Australian Embassies.
The Quad Fellowship is an initiative of the governments of Australia, India, Japan, and the United States that sponsors exceptional master’s and doctoral students to study STEM in the United States. The fellowship develops a network of science and technology experts committed to advancing innovation and collaboration in the private, public, and academic sectors, in their own nations and among Quad countries.
