Hur lab presents research at Hopkins on the Hill
SJ Claire Hur, Clare Boothe Luce Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, along with PhD candidates Srivathsan Kalyan and Corinna Torabi, presented research at Hopkins on the Hill, a biennial showcase of the range, value, and impact of federally funded research and programming that takes place across Johns Hopkins University.
The event took place in the US House of Representative’s Rayburn Building in Washington, DC on June 12, 2019. More than 500 attendees, including members of the JHU community, Capitol Hill staffers, and the general public, explored 21 interactive project displays by Johns Hopkins researchers and practitioners.
Hur and team are engineering new instruments to routinely collect and test diseased cells in blood, providing the critical information needed to help physicians treat patients with cancer. Her work to build new tools to fight cancer is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
