Mechanical Engineering PhD student Anu Kaushik from Prof. Jeff Wang’s group has been selected to attend the sixth annual Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) in Singapore.
GYSS is a gathering of approximately 300 young scientists and researchers (PhD students and post-docs) from all over the globe, with eminent international science and technology leaders in Singapore. It is a multi-disciplinary summit, covering topics ranging from chemistry, physics, medicine, mathematics, computer science and engineering. Speakers invited to the GYSS are globally recognized scientific leaders, including recipients of the Nobel Prize, Fields Medal, Millennium Technology Prize, Turing Award and IEEE Medal of Honor.
Kaushik was nominated by the Whiting School of Engineering and chosen by the GYSS secretariat for participation in the summit. He will represent Johns Hopkins University at the 2018 summit with the theme of “Advancing Science, Creating Technologies for a Better World.”
