vnguyenCongratulations to Prof. Vicky Nguyen on being one of thirty-four early career faculty members selected to receive a Johns Hopkins Catalyst Award! Launched in 2015, Catalyst Awards program is part of a $15 million university commitment to faculty-led research launched in 2015. Each faculty member receives a $75,000 grant to fuel their research and intellectual pursuits. Additionally, the program also provides mentoring opportunities and the chance to join a cohort of peers at a similar stage in their career.

Prof. Nguyen works on biomechanics, constitutive modeling, and fracture mechanics. She is specifically interested in the mechanical behavior, growth, and remodeling of fibrous soft tissues as well as the failure of rate dependent mater
