The 38th annual Mechanical Engineering Senior Design Day will be held at the Homewood campus on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.
This one-day event is a showcase of the completed ME Senior Design projects. Our teams of keen Seniors will give a presentation about their work, and there will be an exhibition and posters in the foyer nearby.
When: Tuesday, May 3, 2017
7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Where: Hodson Hall 210 and foyer
Each team of Seniors has an industry sponsor, and industry problem, and industry funding. They are challenged to design, build, test and document a device or system to serve a real need. Over two semesters the Seniors work closely with engineers at the sponsor organization, and with Faculty at Hopkins, to brainstorm, prototype, refine and test their designs. It is an opportunity for deep learning of how to apply the tools of engineering science, teamwork, communication and creativity.
