Press the TestWorks 4 icon on the desktop of the computer.

Press OK on the next screen with user login MTS, no password.

Before doing anything else, the software needs a method to open. Either click ok to open the one proposed (by default it is the one used last) or press Advanced to browse for another one.

Check the bottom right corner for the state of the motor. IF the indicator is red, the software is not communicating with the frame.

Click on Motor Reset, the indicator should become green, which means that the frame is enabled.

If the software does not ask for a method or if the test buttons (stop, play,pause) remain gray, it is probable that the software cannot communicate with the frame.

Quit the software, check that the frame is powered, check all the cables, and start the software again.

The manual for the software is available on the wiki and physically next to the machine (on the temperature controller). Each user should scan it to make sure they are aware of the different options provided to them to program a test as well as control the frame and the data acquisition.

From there you can either start a test or create a new method.
