Graduate students Karthik Menon and Mengze Wang receive Prosperetti Travel Awards

Mechanical Engineering graduate students Karthik Menon and Mengze Wang have received 2017 “Prosperetti Travel Awards” to attend the Annual Meeting of the American Physical Society (APS) Division of Fluid Dynamics, November 19-21 in Denver, Colorado.

Menon is advised by Professor Rajat Mittal, and Wang is advised by Associate Professor Tamer Zaki.

The award recognizes second year graduate students in the fluid dynamics area of the Department of Mechanical Engineering who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance in their first year graduate classes. The award is named for former Professor Andrea Prosperetti, who dedicated himself to graduate teaching excellence in mechanical engineering. Congratulations to Menon and Wang on this accomplishment!
