In Memoriam: Martin Joseph Moran ‘96
It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of alumnus Martin ‘Marty’ Moran, who graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department in 1996. He passed away on June 16, 2016 in his Baltimore home after a 5-1/2 year battle with cancer.
Marty was married to fellow JHU alumna Lisa (née Ievers) Moran and founder partner of Critical Systems, LLC, an HVAC manufacturers’ representative firm serving the D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia markets. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed philosophy – so much so that he earned a degree in the subject from JHU and also began pursuing a PhD before joining the Critical Systems team.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the San Miquel School (7705 Georgia Ave. NW, Washington D.C., 20012).
