Congratulations to Prof. Kevin Hemker on being elected by the WSE and KSAS Homewood faculty to serve a 4-year term on the Homewood Academic Council (AC)! The Academic Council is an elected body of Homewood faculty who oversee all Homewood academic programs and academic appointments. The mission of the Academic Council is to preserve and enhance the academic excellence of the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and the Whiting School of Engineering. Prof. Hemker will replace civil engineering professor Tony Dalrymple who has just completed his 4-year term on Council.
Our department has a strong tradition of leadership and support of faculty governance on the Academic Council, and we are thrilled that Prof. Hemker’s service on the Academic Council will continue this tradition.
