zakiCongratulations to Professor Tamer Zaki who has been awarded the 2016 Office of Naval Research Young Investigator (ONR YIP) Award for his work titled, “Augmentation and Integration of Measurements and Simulation Data in Heterogeneous Environments”!

This highly competitive award is very well deserved recognition of his research contributions and promise. His award is one of 47 ONR YIPs awarded nationwide in 2016, two of which are to JHU faculty.

Professor Zaki’s research focuses on transitional and turbulent shear flows, including linear and non-linear instability waves, secondary instabilities, breakdown to turbulence, direct numerical simulations, transition modeling.
